Yoga
Service Description
I teach classes in three yoga styles (Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra), each of which offers a unique experience and caters to different needs. While unique, each style promotes a holistic approach to well-being by addressing physical health as well as mental and emotional balance. Yin Yoga Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice that focuses on passive stretching and deep relaxation. It’s a meditative practice that helps release tension and calm the mind. Rather than targeting muscle, Yin yoga targets the connective tissues to promote flexibility. It involves holding poses for an extended period, typically 3-5 minutes or more. Restorative Yoga Restorative yoga is all about relaxation and rejuvenation. In this practice, you’ll use props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support your body in gentle poses. It’s designed to relieve stress, enhance flexibility, and create a profound sense of peace and well-being. It’s particularly beneficial for those seeking deep relaxation and stress relief. Yoga Nidra Yoga Nidra, often referred to as yogic sleep, is a guided meditation technique that induces a state of profound relaxation. It allows you to access deep levels of consciousness while remaining in a state of awareness. Yoga Nidra is known for reducing stress, anxiety, and improving sleep quality. It’s a practice of deep rest for both body and mind.
