How Tranquility Sound Got It's Name

In spring of 2024, my dear Dad entered hospice care.
It was an especially difficult day for the two of us, when a nurse took notice and brought us a single white rose she had cut from the Tranquility Garden at the hospice grounds.
“This is a Tranquility rose,” she said. “It is meant to offer peace and tranquility. When you are feeling low, look at it, smell it and allow it to lift your spirits.”
In that moment, this simple, yet kind and compassionate gesture was a huge source of comfort to both my Dad and myself. It had the power to offer solace, peace and rejuvenation.
In the days that followed, I went back to that rose many times, and went to the Tranquility Garden to pick fresh ones for my Dad's room. And every time the fragrance would lift my spirits a little and cultivate a sense of peace and calm within me - even for just few moments.
This experience reminded me that it's important offer moments for self-care. That we need to nurture our well-being in order to offer the best version of ourselves to those we love and care for the most.
And I wanted to offer a space and moments where people could come for peace, comfort, tranquility, healing and respite. And so “Tranquility Sound Baths & More” was born.
